What's New Photo Gallery

Inner West Photographic Society is a diverse group of people covering a range of ages, backgrounds and professions all brought together by their passion for photography.

The club meets twice a month on the first and the third Thursday of the month from February through to November at 7.30pm at Wests Ashfield Leagues Club situated at 115 Liverpool Road, not far from Parramatta Road. See Find Us for a map and public transportation access details.

The first meeting of the month is generally where guest lecturers come along to talk on their particular field of photography which could be subjects such as Photoshop, black and white imagery, sports photography, photojournalism etc. This provides a great opportunity to pickup an amazing array of knowledge on a wide variety of photographic subjects.

The second meeting of the month is generally a monthly competition amongst our members. A qualified guest judge offers useful advice and encouragement on the prints and digital images that members wish to enter. Awards are given on the night with the points then tallied towards the Topshot of the Year Awards in each of the Print and Digitally Projected Image categories. Click here for competition rules.

For a full program of activities go to the Schedule page.

There is also an annual photographic exhibition where members can exhibit their work for public display.

Society membership is $45.00 per year and Wests Ashfield League Club membership is also required for which there is a modest joining fee. See Join the Club for more information.

Visitors are always welcome. See the Contact Us page for contact details.
